It’s Official, Irwin is a Great Place to Work
Quick Navigation

TORONTO, ON, JANUARY 24, 2022 — Irwin is proud to announce that it has been certified as a Great Place to Work® after a thorough, independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work Institute® Canada. This certification is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about organizational culture and their workplace experience.

The Great Place to Work® Trust Index© measures the levels of trust in the workplace by focusing on 5 key dimensions: Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride and Camaraderie. While the certification threshold requires Canadian companies to score 65% on its Trust Index, Irwin scored an exceptional 98%, with 100% of employees agreeing with the statement: “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.”

“As Irwin continues to grow, our priority is maintaining and fostering a healthy workplace and culture. That's why we're ecstatic to achieve the Great Place To Work certification, which allows us to hear directly from our employees about their experience,” said David Whyte, CEO and Co-Founder, Irwin. “Irwin’s competitive advantage is our people and this certification is a team celebration — they truly are what makes our company so great.”

According to Great Place to Work® Canada, a great workplace is about the level of trust that employees experience in their leaders, the level of pride they have in their jobs, and the extent to which they enjoy their colleagues. "Our data shows that great workplaces benefit from stronger financial performance, reduced turnover, and better customer satisfaction than their peers. What's more, work environments with trust at the foundation are ripe for innovation, agility, resilience and efficiency," said Nancy Fonseca, Senior Vice President, Great Place to Work® Canada.

“Earning this designation from our employees is gratification that we’re creating great workplace experiences. We couldn't achieve all that we do without the help of each individual Irwin team member,” said Mark Fasken, COO and Co-Founder, Irwin. “As a fully remote team, we stay driven, work collectively and most importantly—have fun—while bettering Irwin's brand, reputation, and product every day.”
